Got in a BIF from FBarber. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 2/17/2022. Pours slightly hazy golden orange, light red/pink color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big fresh tart/juicy strawberries and vanilla/ice cream. Taste of strawberries, lemon, lime, fruit skin/seed, white wine, green apple, vanilla, cream, wheat, bread, hay, straw, grass, and lacto funk. Moderate fruity/lactic sourness, and fruit tang on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced lactic acid, fruit tang, and creamy/grainy malt/lactose in the mouthfeel. Long drying acidic/tannic finish, with mild pucker. Fairly refreshing, mild warmth of 6%. As far as strawberry beers go, this is almost to a jammy level, and it's even more impressive as they aged it on the fruit instead of adding puree like a lot of fruit sours these days. Spot on base Berliner style.
