Velocipede India Pale Ale, inspired by the original name for the bicycle, is hoppy and bitter with floral and pine aromas. This IPA is packed full of adventurous hops and citrus flavours that excite the palate and lead you to an enjoyably bitter finish. With four hops in the boil, and dry hopped with Centennial hops, this IPA is well-balanced and light copper in colour. Velocipede IPA is a true testament to the bicycle and the wild places you discover on the way.

473ml can served cold into a tulip. LCBO purchase. Canned April 2, 2025.
Appearance - Crispy rather hazy dark golden color with two fingers of light tan head. Good staying power.
Smell - A little grapefruit and pine, sprinkle of pineapple and strong caramel malt. Definitely West Coast in style.
Taste - Mild grapefruit pith, fairly bitter with some initial caramel sweetness. Earthiness follows.
Mouthfeel - medium-full bodied with dry finish. Carbonation is fairly crisp and a little astringency on the tip of the tongue after a sip.
Overall - A fine beer, but there's something that just seems a tiny bit off and I can't place it. Still worthy trying, but definitely mid-lower range of local IPA's in my opinion.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From the University Ave. West LCBO in nearby downtown Windsor. My second beer from the Ottawa, Ontario brewery, and for 2025...

L: Translucent dark amber, some foam and lacing.
S: Mild tropical fruit blend aroma
T: Subtle fruitiness with notes of mango and citrus pith. Not overly hoppy and balanced by the caramel malts. Moderately bitter and dry.
F: Medium body and carbonation.
O: Not a big fan of this one, the flavour was a bit too dull and bitter for me.

As soon as it was cracked open, it had a lemon, orange, slightly caramel smell. The bubbles were very smooth and the flavor hit right away, with lingering grapefruit.

All Canadian craft beer seems to be sold in tall boy cans (473 ml, very close to 16 ounces). This one is not super flavorful or hoppy. It's ok, but I would not seek it out again.

This is one of the best beers from Ontario that I’ve tasted since I moved from Vancouver.
It has a dark orange colour and a burnt marmalade aroma that you can smell as soon as the can cracks open. And it carries over to the taste with a nice balanced bitterness at the end.
I’m glad this brewery is in Ottawa because I’d love to visit and sample their other beers.

Immediately hit of citrusy pine with apparent hops. Smooth moderately bitter but pleasant grapefruit finish. Although quite bitter, and hoppy, it's very well balanced, and pleasant finish makes it a beer you can have more than one of.

Can: Poured a clear brown/amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with some citrus and bitter hoppy notes. Taste is a mix of light caramel malt with some citrusy hops and some bitterness noticeable in the aftertaste. Body is about average with good carbonation. A bit too much bitterness and caramel malt for my taste but otherwise enjoyable.

First time seen in canned format at the LCBO. Full hops on the nose. Well balanced with the malts. Enjoyable brew worth seeking out. Micro brewery in Industrial Ottawa serves up an impressive flight of craft brews also worth visiting.
