Name literally means, “Beer which has been kept or lagered.” No expense was spared in recreating this traditional artisanal ale from Northern France. To recreate this regional specialty, we imported all of the ingredients from the countries that birthed the style. The end result is a malt-forward amber with deep hints of caramel and candied apple. Eight different specialty malts come together to yield a magnificently complex malt profile. The French Strisselspalt hops used for aroma create a mildly spicy and floral bouquet. The unique yeast strain combined with warm fermentation and an extended cold-conditioning period produce a smooth and drinkable ale reminiscent of a lager but with full flavored ale fruitiness.

Big fan. Why anyone would get an OMB Copper over this is beyond me... amber ale look with sugary sweet smell. Solid carmel taste with a side of christmas ale spices. Good head out of the Simons Garage Bar and Patio keggorator

On tap at the 2019 Ncmbf
Clear copper body with a good white head.
Flavor: fine, malt forward mix of amber ale with spices (although that's not how this is made).
Smooth medium body and carbonation.

Amber color, rising bubbles, thin head. Grassy, fruity aromas. Taste matches, berry notes, maybe a bit of banana. Crisp, clean mouthfeel.

750ml brown bottle, sample from the brewery.
This is a great interpretation for the style, very impressive coming from a brewer outside of the US. Beautiful looking dark copper color. Mostly on the dry side, there is some malt sweetness and fruitiness within but it most certainly lands dry. Hits all of the bells and whistles for the style, drinkable and extremely enjoyable.

My first try of Sugar Creek stuff.Pours into a stemmed glass a dull amber/ burnt orange with a lacey slight off white head atop.Aromas are very light with some brown sugar and a hint of caramel but not much. Not as sweet as the aromas might suggest, somewhat earthy and a bit musty, with a hint of buttery caramel in the finish.Hmm it's got some subtle points but not some thing I would seek out or pay as much as I did for it again.
