Look: It pours slightly dark amber with orange in it. The head is very light tan. Surprisingly, it has excellent head retention.
Taste: It is malty rich in the nose. There are some bready elements with caramel. There are low levels of spice and slight citrus.
Taste: There are bread flavors with some spice and low citrus. There are also caramel flavors and smooth alcohol warming.
Feel: It has a full body, but not in the chewy range. The balance is slightly towards the malts.
Overall, this is a very good barleywine. The alcohol is smooth and the flavors are complete.
