Stout with peanut butter and cocoa.

At night it gets mighty lonesome just you and your peanut butter pony, all your wishes used for drying up your tears.

At times it's downright tiresome this world and its boloneys, it's headaches, it's nightmares and steers.

That's why we cowboys find ourselves drawn close to so many fires, the night is less lonely by the heat.

But use caution chasing fires on the back of a peanut butter pony ya ain't careful you melt your ride, your treat and your seat

Obsidian black with lasting tan foam, wispy surface skim. Nutty aroma, peanut butter and dry bakers chocolate. Creamy feel, peanut butter flavor is noticeable, also some scorched popcorn kernel notes that linger. Full bodied, slow sipper. Currently 13%.

Black body with brown edging and a tan collar. Smells of chocolate and peanut butter cereal, with an emphasis on peanut butter. Taste starts this way but has a burnt flavor take over, no good. Peanut butter feels over-fermented or something. In general the feel is broken, malt, nuts, slight acidity and overwhelming roastiness, ash tray level.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a patchy light khaki head that dissipates to sparse bubbles patches with slight lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, peanut butter and light cocoa, not too complex. Flavor is mild, dark toasted malt, peanut butter and light cocoa. Peanut butter finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess, a little thin for an imperial stout. I'm becoming a big fan of peanut butter stouts, the dark malt and peanut butter meld well and these are usually quite winning. This one really displays the peanut butter overall. The malt density and body are both a bit on the light side for such a big stout, but the malt does support the peanut better well and its non-assertiveness could be just great integration. Very flavorful and satisfying, but fairly straightforward. The ABV is super well covered making this a dangerous bit of peanut elixir in this 750 format.
