JUST PLAY IT LOUD... on the speakers and in the pint glass in terms of flavour. A Dandy take on the classic style this beer delivers as being more fruit-forward than your standard Hef. Big banana/bubblegum meets your senses with a light citrus accompaniment from a very non-German whirlpool addition of tasty Amarillo Hops. Light clove spice is delivered playfully along with wheat dough, honey and Graham crackers. The perfect Summer beer!

A- This pours with basically no head....only a quick fizzy layer that dissipates swiftly into oblivion....with that said, there is also no lacing to speak of either, with only a watery layer of film that sticks to the inside of the glass. The coloration of the brew is a pale golden, almost orange like bronze when held up against white light, and shows the standard hazy nature that the style brings. There seems to be a decent amount of carbonation, with several columns of bubble rising in uniform fashion to the top of the liquid. Overall a little underwhelming to look at with no head or lacing....oh well.
S- Smells quite nice, with plenty of tropical banana notes, muted citrus rind and assorted spices, primarily clove and maybe some pumpkin pie spice (nutmeg/allspice). There is a grounded dry Earthiness from the wheat, alongside yeast and bready aromas. The finish shows more citrus but it is more specific like lemon or muted grapefruit, and all of this comes with a clean hop leaf aroma, but it isn't overwhelming.
T- The flavors follow suit to the aromas rather well, with more big banana, clove spice, muted nutmeg/allspice, creamy smooth yeast character, more bread, caramel sweet malt, Earthy wheat malts, and on the finish, more of the lemony flavors and a subtle yet noticeable cleansing leafy hop cone finish. Nice flavors overall!
M/O- The mouthfeel is medium-light in body and the carbonation is just right in my opinion, with a very suitable amount of carbonation popping on the palate....the bubbles are tight and provide a nice spark. The alcohol is well hidden, and at points I get a certain sweetness.....maybe it is the bubblegum that Dandy speaks of? The drinkability factor is high if you ask me....I would be rather content having a few pints of this throughout an evening without getting fatigued. A nice Wit on its own, and would pair well with a dish that has some heat to it. Will definitely enjoy this one again!

Appearance - Pours a hazy gold with two fingers of bubby white head that quickly dissipate.
Smell - banana, clove, bubblegum notes, lemon custard, earthy, and leafy hops, bready malts, citrus, lemon, and earthy yeast.
Taste - banana, clove, bubblegum notes upfront. The lemon custard and the hops are quite mild. The bready malts, mild citrus, lemon, and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the banana and clove lingering.
Overall - A hefeweizen that started on the right path but just got lost in the taste. This one is a tad disappointing but changing up some elements of the recipe would make it more true to the style.
