October 5th, 2015 - Looking flatter than a flounder, this brew poured out from the tap like a cold dead body, flopping gently into the glass and looking sleepy and glum. The aroma at least offers a scent of milk chocolate, and the flavor a light malty character. And against the beguiling appearance, the mouthfeel is surprisingly crisp. Not a pretty beer, but a nice glaze of chocolate syrup from the malt profile and bill.

Dark brown color with a rich tan head, nose is a cocoa onslaught accompanied by subtle char and toffee notes.
The cocoa dominates the taste, but allows room for the char and toffee flavors to shine. The mouthfeel is very creamy, and this is a surprisingly full-flavored porter given the 5.3% ABV. Very well done, IMHO.

Dark brown with a thin veil of foam. Pleasant dark roasted malt flavor dominates. Grainy and dark charred notes. A little nutty taste. Rather plain and dry overall.
On tap at Local Habit in San Diego. Why is this $8 for a 16 oz shaker?
