Really dark beer - got so many comments that it looks like motor oil. Nice coffee taste to it not to strong or overpowering it. Nice foamy when poured from tap! Does have a milky texture to it with a slight bitterness taste but not a bad one.

On-draught @ the brewery:
All the right elements are there, but let's pick more interesting coffee (and use more perhaps), dial down the malt sweetness, crank up the roasted barley, and impart more intricacy of flavour and layering thereof.
A nice effort that ticks the boxes of the coffee stout substyle but doesn't dazzle. Ain't gon' buy this over Founders' Breakfast Stout.

Small light tan lacing over a dark almost black Stout, but I digress. The nose is all coffee, and the taste brings out the roasted malts blended very well with the coffee that was added. I'd love to try this with a scoop of Rocky Road ice cream, but I need to save that for another day.

A very drinkable coffee-forward stout -- taste is more of a milk stout than what BA gives you as comparisons which are closer to Imperial.
