I love IPA's. Favorites would be Hopslam, Lagunitas brews, etc. I just had my first taste of a Three Weavers DIPA, wow! Up until now L.A. seemed to be a wasteland for craft brews.

On tap at Three Weavers Brewing Company in Inglewood, CA.

Pours a clear gold with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and earthy hop aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and earthy hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with great citrus forward hop characteristics all around.

Serving type: on tap.
