Twisted Hippo is back, brewing again at District Brew Yards while they secure a new space for their brewery. I was told by the brewer they were able to utilize a dedicated mixed-fermentation tank for this one, so I hope it's a sign of more funky things to come.

Biere Du Bacle pours a hazed pastel yellow with ample frothy foam and drippy lacing.

Aroma is a blend of lemon & lime zest, along with light grainy pale malt and lemony tang.

Taste is mildly tart, crisp and zesty with more lemon/lime citrus and a slight maltiness.

Zippy and crisp, finishes dry, carb is easygoing. Very quenching and drinkable.

I really enjoyed this new mixed-ferm Grisette, and went back for seconds.
