This beer begins with a very pale West Coast IPA devoid of caramel malt character to allow the fruity aromas and flavors of Simcoe & Glacier hops to take center stage and meld perfectly with unreasonable amounts of mangos added to this fruit beer with attitude.

2 Liter growler, filled Feb 15, 2014, enjoyed Feb 16, 2014, poured into a Destihl Saint Dekkera Snifter.
The beer pours a very clear apricot color, hues of bronze and gold, with just a few bubbles rising to the top of the glass. A foamy, frothy white head, about a finger and a half high with good retention and leaves a good amount of sticky lace behind. The aroma is of ripe, juicy mango, piney hops, light citrus and strong sticky malt. It's mildly resinous, but dominantly fruit forward, the mango is showcased quite well. The flavors are right in line, super juicy, ripe mango, pineapple, resinous hops, not too earthy with a bit of sugary malt at the back. The mouthfeel is juicy, sticky and full bodied, coats the mouth well and finishes with a bit of a stick, clingy feel.
Verdict: A very tasty IPA from Destihl. The first experience I've had with them utilizing fruit as an adjunct aside from their sour series, and it doesn't disappoint. Juicy flavors, nice hop profile and an easy drinking attitude. I really enjoyed this growler and look forward to more fruit based beers from Destihl, sour or not.
