An American-style red ale brewed in honor of our Illinois state bird. Medium caramel sweetness balances pleasant hop bitterness, aroma and flavor.

poured from a 12oz can into a half pint glass. amber in color with a finger or so of khaki colored foam. hoppy and malty with a little bit of stale cardboard flavor going on. medium-full, creamy mouthfeel. decent.

Pours a clear brown color. 1/3 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of tea, caramel malt, sweet malt, spicy hops, and earthiness. Fits the style of an American Amber / Red Ale. Tastes of tea, caramel malt, sweet malt, spicy hops, and earthiness. Overall, decent amber all around.
