If you're a fan of dark beer, you'll enjoy our Oatmeal Stout! Thrashed Oats features a full body, sweet flavor with very little bitterness, and lots of roasted malt characteristics. The oatmeal in this stout makes it unbelievably silky & smooth! There is very low hop character in the Lena Oatmeal Stout. Instead, expect flavors of chocolate and roasted coffee. Delicious!

I tried this beer at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. The beer poured an opaque dark with very thin tan head that did not leave much ace. The scent had subtle roast and chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet chocolate malt base and roast highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a good beer!

Taste: semi sweet, oats, dry airy bite, some malt, finish off. Toasty oat nose. Very dark brown, semi clear, with tan head and broken ring of lattice. Medium body.

Draft at th brewery taproom, quick review from notes.
This one wasn't bad but it was thin and forgettable.
Dark brownish black, thin veil of surface skim.
Aroma of unsweetened chocolate, mild roast.
Taste is the same, body was thin and watery.
Moved on to the next beer pretty quickly, won't get again.

Lena's name of this beer is presently "Thrashed Oats". It's a good representation of the oatmeal stout style. I am a repeat-buyer of this tasty brew...
