The aroma lulled me into drinking a whole 10 oz. pour of this brew. In the nose it promises an entire pumpkin pie, crust and all. The first sip is very good. But it quickly loses its appeal. I'm just at a loss for how many pumpkin beers I've tried without finding one I really like.

On-tap at Capital Brewery’s Beer Garden. This pours a copper orange color with a slight head. There is a great aroma of spice and pumpkin. There is a good flavor of pumpkin, spice, and oak. A very unique beer for barrel aging.

Decent clarity, huge pumpkin aroma, with lightly floral hops and a plenty of cinnamon and clove. Flavor is very pumpkin forward, with clove and a hint of cinnamon at the finish. The barrel character is lacking. Notes of vanilla and floral hops add dimension to an otherwise pumpkin and spice brew. It's a little hot.
