From a 16oz can:
Appearance: Clear gold, small head.
Smell: Piney, citrus.
Taste: Mild sweetness, bit of citrus rind, balanced, toffee and fruit flavors. Nice combination of flavors that grew on me.
Overall: I first tried this at Brew at the Zoo and liked it there with a tired palate. Picked up a four pack and was still impressed. Not a great looker or smell, but the taste was pretty complex and varied for a pale ale. Good stuff.

Giant's Axe pours a hazy darker copper color, with a small head. Balanced aromas; some hops and sweet malts. Flavor is also more balanced, with some noticeable hop flavors; finishes bitter. A bit of a flat feel. Overall not bad, a little bit stronger for a pale ale.

Clear amber with a finger of head that settled to a thin cap. Moderate amount of spotty lacing is left down the glass. Aroma of stone fruit like apricots and peaches, tropical fruit, and a mild dankness. The flavor is usually where Insight beers let me down as there is just something about them that does not sit right with me, but this one is different. Do not know if it is the hops covering up other things, yeast, attenuation, or something else. Starts off with a nice bitter bite that is not overpowering, followed by really good hop flavor stone fruit, tropical fruit, coconut, and citrus. Nice sweetness comes on in the finish with a light bready flavor. Properly carbonated and good mouthfeel.
