Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy, deep and bright amber-orange color. So clear it reminds me of Kentucky whiskey. A very strong head that fades quickly. SRM of 13-14. (4.00)

Aroma: Rather strong aromas of mango, lemon, sweet peach, strawberry and plastic (3.75)

Flavor: Flavor follows the nose. Peach, nectarine, strawberry, tropical papaya, grapefruit. Has a rather strong tropical pith bitterness. Like biting into an unripened papaya.. (3.75)

Feel: Medium-bodied. A strong head, but then turns watery. A bitterness lingers on the palate. (3.50

Compared to Fulton 300 IPA 4/29/20: Pours a darker color with a larger head. Similar strength, but different aromas. Stronger mango, peach, and fruit on the flavor. Less dank pine. Similar sweetness, but this is less bitter.

Overall: Not really dank. More like flat but pleasant fruit. Strong peach, mango, lemon, and strawberry flavors. Not quite what I was expecting. A strong head, but then the carbonation fades and it falls flat. Still great peach, mango, lemon, sweet strawberry fruit flavors that are unique. (Final Rating: 3.62)

Had on tap at The Bulldog in Lowertown. The beer had a clear gold appearance with a small head. I could smell some grape-like aromas mixed with grapefruit and hops. The taste was decently bittersweet with a combination of malt and orange. Very sharp carbonation for the mouthfeel. Overall, ok, had a great mouthfeel.

Color is a golden orange, almost sunset color. Has a nice head to it. Smell is very strongly citrus and tropical fruit, particularly mango and pineapple. The flavor is piney and resinous with little obvious fruit. Light-to-medium feel.

Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass

This beer pours amber in color with burnt orange highlights. It has a slight haze. It is topped with an inch of off white head that leaves nice lacing rings.

The smell is dark with citrus.

The taste is dank and earthy. The finish is bitter and lingers.

Medium mouthfeel.

This is a solid IPA, but something seems off. I think it is a little old, but there is no date stamped on the can.

This beer pours a clear orange with an average head. The aroma features orange peel, pine, cannabis, caramel, mango, and pineapple. The flavor is rich and bitter, with notes of pine, orange peel, caramel, cedar, grapefruit peel, and cannabis. The mouthfeel is fairly thick with medium, slightly foamy carbonation. Overall this is is a nice, bitter IPA - almost west coast in style, but with a malt base that is not just caramel, and huge core of dank bitterness,

From a 16oz can:

Appearance: Gold, particles in suspension, good head.

Smell: Dank and citrus.

Taste: A little more balanced than expected. Bready with dank hop finish. Slick, smooth feel.

Overall: Dankbot is in cans so I will review it. Seems a little tamer in cans than on tap, not quite as up-front hoppy. Still a pretty good local IPA.

Insight takes the "craft" seriously and this brew is proof. Look is standard IPA in the glass. Smell just knocks it out of the park. Resinous hop-wort at it's finest. I could just sit here and smell this beer and be happy. Taste is just as good; earthy dank just lingers on the palate forever without being syrupy or overly heavy. This is a heavy weight beer but very drinkable. I love it and will buy it again.

Beautiful golden-hued beer, slight hop haze, off-white head. Aromas are all dank hops - citrus, passion fruit, pineapple.

Taste is citrus, tropical fruit, and a sweet flavor that really elevates this. Best beer I've had from Insight.

L-Deep Gold colored...light 1/8 inch head which does not last long..

S-Fresh...floral....grapefruit rind....tropical fruits....oranges...

T-First thought is tangerines....wouldn't call this super dank......more bright and citrus fruity with just some hints of a little floral/pine....deeper in touch of tobacco... Malt is slightly bready....nice canvas...

F-I'd call it a little thin for an IPA but not session IPA thin. Clean and easy drinking....could use a bit more body...

O-Nice beer. I like it. 50/50 on if I'll buy it again with the wealth of IPA options available but this is solid.

L: gold/yellow, bubbly head, great retention and lacing, clear to slight haze

S: Piney, earthy spice, hoppy

T: Green, spicy, pine, bitter

MF: Medium body, mild carbonation, creamy

O: I've missed this kind of IPA. Too often you get very tropical or too overly hopped ipa's. This is a reminder of what started the northwest IPA craze of a green, pine flavored, but not too bitter IPA. Loved it.

Poured a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. I hate to say it but it smelled "dank" - piney, earthy, resiny. Good bitter flavor with some sweetness and toasted caramel.

Orangish golden color. Large amount of head. Very piney bite off the bat with a sticky malt n citrus flavor to finish. It tickles the taste buds. Definitely has a bitter taste and a dry finish. First ever 'extra dank' IPA. Taste kind of like a double IPA in my opinion.

Pours hazy orangeish gold. Foamy, medium, white head that lasts a little bit with light lacing.

Smells piney, earthy, citrus and malt.

Tastes pineapple, grapefruit peel, citrus, light doughy malts and orange hints. Followed by a piney bitterness and light pepper. Finish is dry with a citrus peel linger. Medium body and fizzy medium carbonation.

Pale amber color with a slight haze. A nice two finger head forms and slowly settles. Heavy lacing is left down the glass. Aroma is hop intensity. Odd is that it is called Dankbot and described as extra dank IPA and there is certainly dank in the aroma, but I get more tropical fruit. Also getting some pine and herbal elements. Flavor has nice hoppy flavor of tropical fruit, grapefruit, pineapple, and some herbs. Bitterness is not punishing and has a slightly sweet malt backbone. Lighter body and softly carbonated gives the beer a nice smooth texture. In the end this is one of the better IPAs in the market.

S: fresh marijuana with swampy herbaceous notes, citrus, and light malts.

L: hazy gold, 1" well formed white foam cap that leaves good lace and has good retention.

T: Big hop flavors dominate the palate with citrus, tangerine, and dank with light biscuity malt providing mild sweetness. The bitterness is medium high to high, the hop flavors are high and the malt flavors are medium to medium low. The fermentation character is clean. The beer finishes with long lingering bitter fruit aftertastes.

F: Dankbot is exceptionally creamy with a medium body and medium, very soft carbonation.

O: Dankbot has big bold hop bitterness and flavor.

This beer pours a hazy light red color. The head is a half inch in height, and recedes slowly. The aroma is actually quite dank. There is some grapefruit, and some blood orange, and a little pine, but they are all dank. The taste is more bitter than the aroma would suggest, but the base characteristics are still there. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with appropriate carbonation. Overall, like most beers I've tasted from Insight, this one is good, but nothing that cries for me to buy it again.

Poured from a 16 oz. can into an IPA glass.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy amber orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a solid finger of off white head that settles into a thin creamy layer.

Smell: A juicy and dank hop driven aroma with a scent of citrus and pine. Upfront scent of citrus hops with some grapefruit, orange peel, mango, passion fruit, and lemon with some pineapple. Dank scent of pine resin, cannabis, and grass. Malt hints of caramel, grains and cracker with yeast. A very nice juicy aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and earthy hop dominated taste with notes of citrus and pine. Big juicy citrus hop notes of grapefruit, orange peel, mango, lemon, and passion fruit along with some pineapple. Earthy hop notes of pine resin and grass. Malt notes of caramel, cracker, and grains with some yeast. A pretty good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very juicy, oily, and drying.

Overall: A really good hop bomb IPA. Big juicy and dank hops with a moderate body.

maybe fresher this would be better. i'm really not sure where this one is going - the look and feel of the beer are pleasant enough, but in terms of what really matters, i think i'm missing something here. reminds me of grapefruit pith more than the peel or fruit - bitter and without the sweetness of the fruit.

not my favorite.

Lives up to its name. Drank on tap from a pint glass. Pours a hazy golden with a slight orange tint and no head. Strong piney hops aroma. Very bitter, not particularly well balanced but still quite enjoyable.

Dankbot pours a copper color with a very small head. Nice hoppy aroma. Big fresh dry hoppy flavors, with a initial sweetness and a bitter and dry aftertaste. Good body and feel. Overall top notch IPA. Good dry and floral IPA.

Have had this both on draft and out of a can, had both last years release and this years. This years version has clicked into a next gear. It lives up to its name completely, will smack you with the aroma and taste. Highly enjoyable for the style, almost a 'wetness' with the dank characteristic.

Unbelievably great. Straight dank hops. Amazing beer that drinks best straight from the can. Aggressive hop aromas welcome you as soon as you crack the can, and the darkest of hop flavors attack from the jump.

Grapefruit aroma, with some dank and earthy notes. Flavor profile is similar, but is quite juicy and with a bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel, dry. Overall, this one is a little more of a standard IPA than the somewhat unique Troll Way, but I enjoy it a little more.
