Tan head. Black color. Chocolate and fudge. Great bourbon notes. Reminds me of bcbs. Oaky, with some heat. Full bodied. Very nice. Warming. Smooth and drinkable. Well done.
Edit: has an expedition stout vibe going on after a couple years in the bottle. Molasses, figs, chocolate.

Big & bold - exactly what you would expect from a double BA beer. Huge oak nose & taste but it complements the base quite well. Big notes of vanilla & sweet roasted malts; a bit of chocolate and coffee noted as well. Definitely the best thing I've had from Insight! Should age well for years.

L: deep dark brown under a thin tan to light brown cap with poor retention and some thin legs
S: smells of bourbon, caramel, dark brown sugar, dark dried fruit, a hint of coffee and chocolate and alcohol
T: rich and malty cut by bourbon, coffee, chocolate, fig and dates, alcohol, vanilla, faint coconut and oak especially on the finish
F: thick and chewy with medium carbonation
O: This big rich beer is a little on the sweet side but is a pleasant winter drink to sit back and savor

Pours a very dark brown, almost black colour. Smells like sticky tree fruits, molasses, syrupy, chocolate malts, and boozy. Tastes like a bitter espresso and mocha, oaky, syrupy, rich, dry, char, creme brulee, and boozy.
