Like most English consumables, this porter is ass.
With a watery body, and as the liquid equivalent of a pasty, Devil’s Companion will leave you wishing you’d eaten anything else.
Not to mention, at a slim 5.4% ABV, it doesn’t pack nearly enough kick for its namesake.
Indeed’s simplistic can designs remain undefeated, and the pour looks alright as well, but if you’re jonesing for a porter like this one, try a stale imported Guiness instead.

This is a light porter. Or at least it tastes like one! The color is extremely dark, and almost coffee like. It pours really well but has almost no smell to it.
Overall, when I drink a porter I want a meal of a beer. And quite frankly, this is not it.
It is good, but i could never see myself buying more than one of it.
I GIVE IT A LIGHT 3/5
