750ml crowler. Appearance was as expected...slight head and long-lasting ring. Not fully opaque with a dark brown/ruby color. Aroma was subtle with what you'd expect...roasted malt, red wine, dark chocolate, tart cherries. Taste similar to aroma but all flavors are subdued. All evenly blended such that they are all there with none dominating. Overall moderate intensity for all flavors. (My girlfriend like it that way, I would have preferred a bit more.) Mouthfeel medium rich. Note that this is definitely not "sweet". It was great to experience these flavors without the sugar bomb present with many.

Poured from 750 mL bottle into snifter.
A: Pours a very dark brown with 1/4 inch dark mocha head with decent retention.
S: Dark chocolate (dry and slightly bitter), red wine, cherries, roasted malts.
T: Dark bitter chocolate, roasted caramel malt, vanilla, and hints of red wine and cherry.
M: Medium-heavy body. Darkly sweet, moderately bitter, and dry. ABV very well hidden.
D: An interesting brew. The chocolate and roasted malts dominate; wish there was more red wine and cherry to have better balance.
