Cashmere, Idaho 7, Idaho 7 Cyro, Citra hops
Thick, creamy, juicy, and heavy-bodied. Cashmere hops lead the way with lemon and melon, Idaho 7 doubles down on the herbal and citrus qualities, and Citra ties it all together. Massively hop forward in both flavor and aroma, with as little bitterness as we could get away with.

This beer pours a nice lemon color. Very hazy and murky, as expected. There's a beautiful, fluffy looking, white head. The retention is pretty good, and there's nice lacing on the glass.
The nose isn't too strong. I do get some tropical citrus notes, but nothing i can pick out.
Taste - I do get a good amount of grapefruit in this beer. I get other flavors that are pretty mild, and I can't pick out.
The body is soft, and juicy.
Not bad overall.

Nothing wrong with this one, though it strikes me as a bit muddled…must be some el dorado in there(?) because I’m getting lime. Maybe it is the Idaho 7? Light and fruity (lime, papaya, orange blossom, powdered sugar), maybe a little on the watery side considering the style is supposed to tilt toward pillowy, but whatever. A good pint, especially on a hot August day…not quite “very good,” but that’s okay by me.

L-Hazy light orange color...minimal head
S-Oranges but lighter aroma than expected...a touch of apricot and green tea as well.
F-More of the oranges along with some papaya and light tropical notes...a bit of the tea impression but a very prominent lime like characteristic comes through on the taste.
F-Not oversweet....medium bodied...has some creamy characteristics but not a strong point.
O-Interesting flavor to this one and a bit different than some in this style but enjoyable.

Appearance: Pours a semi-cloudy (50% opacity) hazy light golden to yellow color with a mild white head. SRM of 7. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong and juicy aromas of orange citrus, strong tropical fruit, some pineapple. Sweet and juicy.
Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of orange and lemon citrus. All citrus and pithy. Mostly orange and lemon juice. Then orange paint and plastic, some summer inner tube plastic, pineapple, tropical fruit. Juicy with a full body and sweet finish. (4.00)
Feel: Medium to heavier bodied. Strong carbonation. A juicy sweetness lingers on the palate. (4.00)
Compared to Surly's Impossible Objects IPA 7/3/21: Pours a lighter and hazier color. Stronger aromas. More sweet orange citrus and pineapple. Less dank and resinous tropical fruit.
Compared to Surly's Invisible Rays IPA 9/24/21: Pours a light and brighter pale yellow color. More citrus. Less juicy orange, tropical pineapple and mango.
Compared to New Belgium V2K IPA 10/8/21: Pours similar. More citrus, pineapple, peach, strawberry, kiwi. Less fruit punch, red citrus, and cherry.
Overall: An intensely hoppy citrusy IPA for only 6.5%. Nice and strong orange and lemon citrus flavors. Lots of OJ and sort of like if you mixed orange juice and lemon juice. A strong and robust body with a sweet finish. Some orange plastic flavors, (possibly hop burn) which are sort of weird, but not off-putting like some others are.
This one packed a punch and hit me right in the jaw. Can't say I didn't enjoy it though. This beer knows what it wants, and what it wants is juice and sweetness. Drinks well. (Final Rating: 4.00)
