Tart and fruity mixed culture ale aged in French oak barrels with California grown yellow peaches. We selected this tart beer with peaches to honor grandpa George because he and grandma Sylvia used to make traditional Czech peach dumplings together every summer in the peak of peach season. This is the sour peach beer that we all know and love. It's crisp, dry with a load of stone fruit flavor and aroma.

Appearance: Pours a translucent goldenstraw with a minimal head that quickly fritters away; no lacing
Smell: Quite fruity, with a nice peach aroma supported by vinous undertones; oaky
Taste: Lactic peach forward with oak and white wine elements emerging; moderately sour, after the swallow, with a relatively dry finish
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body; minimal carbonation; puckery
Overall: I had heard good things about the Good Beer Company but my one previous experience was a dud; they certainly redeemed themselves with this beer that has been sitting in my cellar for quite a few years; sad to see that they went out of business

750ml bottle. Served in a teku glass.
Pours a clear yellow body with an orange hue, half finger white head, minimal retention, no lacing. Eh. Smells however, like rich peaches; peach skin and flesh, moderate lactic tartness, light funk, light leather, sweet peach juice, very light graininess, touch of white wine. Flavour follows, tons of tart peach flesh, peach skin, balanced by a light grainy sweetness and peach sweetness. There is peach for days. Finish is a dry, white vinous character. Mouthfeel is lighter, dry, plenty of carbonation despite the head, peaches on the finish. Overall, very impressive peach-forward saison, I really enjoyed this one a lot.

Loads of peaches on the nose. Quite a gusher. Prickly carb. Very light and nice. Great saison body and look. Taste is funky and dry with peach skin.
