A: Poured from the 330mL bottle into a pint glass. The beer is a cola reddish-brown color with a huge foamy light tan head that stays around for a while.
S: An odd smell - chocolate, but not malt... like a nib of bittersweet chocolate, which was unexpected. Plums and brown sugar and molasses. A hint of leather.
T: Smoky character with a lot of roasted malt and coffee, leather again, rich earthy flavor. Then some dark fruit. Finishes with a touch of sour yeast.
Overall: One of the more unique beers I've been able to get in China, and really a unique beer for anywhere. I'd get this again if I found it somewhere else. A good change up.

L - dark (it is supposed to be a dark saison-ish beer) and opaque, nice head, good retention.
S - cocoa and resin.
T - tastes more like dubbel (i.e. Brugse Zot Dubbel). Raisins, fruits and touch of cocoa and yeast.
F - a little bitterness appears in the aftertaste, but still enjoyable. Light carbonization, medium body.
O - not a fan of saison beers, but saison-ish worked for me well.
