On draft at Zwei. Poured a slightly cloudy, golden color with a good-sized, white head of rocky foam. It smelled of cracked wheat, clove, banana and spices. This is spot on for a hefeweizen. Wheat, clove, spices and banana. Nailed it!

easily the best beer i had in here yesterday, and frankly the best of the style i have had made in colorado, including the now famous german breweries here, this is epic beer from a quality standpoint, and its lighter and more drinkable than so many of them, really pretty flawless stuff, frankly as good a take on the style as i have had made in america, they should be really proud of this one. super pale yellow straw colored from the tap at the brewery but holding a full inch of white head, gorgeous lace as it sips, and effervescent from start to finish, so bright and alive! the yeast smells and tastes comparatively mild, but i really like it, subtle ripe banana and allspice, but not overly estery or anything at all, a touch sweet too but not from the grain, like a confection of some kind, but just for a flash, zesty and citrus forward, subtle coriander and ginger notes even, like that fresh and spicy complexion, but its all nuance and subtlety, brilliantly crafted, and the wheat is as front and center as any of it. this is dry by the end of it with a clean lemon juiciness and lots of wheaty fluff, its awesome, explosively active, and drinkable to oblivion. lighter than a whole lot of these are, but incredibly balanced, flavorful, and even memorable. they absolutely nailed this, a triumph of sorts! yum!
