Pours dark brown with a mild fog to the translucency. Head is two fingers of off-white foam. Aroma is espresso - and it's rich. Toasty, roasty, and caramelly malts further develop the aroma, leading to passing notes of sticky toffee and chocolate. Flavor profile is right back to espresso. Toasty, caramelly, and roasty malts expand on mild earthy malts, and light sticky hops, and late chocolate notes. Mouth feel is medium-thick. It never quite reaches creamy in texture, falling just a bit shy thanks to some light grit. Overall, big time espresso, but in a well done way.
