Very nice beer here. Poured from bottle and seeing as the abv was lower than most barrel aged beers, I felt aging wasn't a necessity. The richness factor Is off the chain, dare I say creamy. No alcohol bite at all but still warming. Chocolate, roasted malts, and a hit of bourbon are the predominant flavors and a change of pace from all the dark fruits one would normally get from a beer like this. The bourbon might not be as forward as some would like, but I welcomed the changed. This is an excellent double stout with a touch of oak and bourbon and a chocolatey touch. Very drinkable. No need to age.
