On tap at brewery:
Pours clear with a rusty auburn body and a slightly rusty off-white head, the spongy remains of which leave a little bit of itself on the glass.
A malty toasted grain nose with just a hint of caramel and melanoidin. Flavor has the same aspects. The lighter ABV allows for a less thick feel and helps keep the caramel flavor from taking over. A little earthy spice gets a say later in the taste.
For a lighter, fairly clean beer, this has just enough fullness that it stays away from being watery. A quite good malty beer I’d enjoy keeping in my fridge if I could.
