16oz can from the brewery. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of fluffy foam. It left sudsy trails of lace. It smelled of pineapple, orange, grapefruit and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a sharp bitterness.

On tap at the brewery in Portland. Pours transparent yellow with white head. Tons of lacing. The nose is pine, grapefruit peel, smooth orange, and a bit of malts. The taste follows the nose. Bitter citrus peel, pine, malts, and some orange. Nice IPA.

*2021 Version using Simcoe hops
Look: Clear light orange in color and the explosive head settles down to a lid, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Orange, grapefruit rind, marionberries, pine, some Cannabis, lemon-lime, and some bready malt
Taste: Whoa, this is a gigantic weed/pine/citrus bomb out of the gate and after the initial rush, some berries and malt find their way in. Layers of citrus and conifers continue to develop in the middle and closes with pine and a nice, big hop bite
Mouthfeel: Full, a little slick, medium-high carbonation, and moderately dry on the finish
Overall: This is very tasty stuff. I love what Simcoe brings as a hop varietal and this beer does exceptionally well in showcasing all of it – pine, citrus fruits, Cannabis, and light berry notes. One of the few beers I’ve had from these folks too which needs to change as they made a great fresh hop beer in this offering
