Friendly Looking head.
Standard Smells.
Balanced Taste... until late palate bitterness set in to stay.
Just like an APA to do that.. but I had hoped instead for the North England rendition which I've found to control their hops properly. Simply put, Silver Dollar has too much grapefruit for my ale.
I went on Tyne Bank's website and was impressed by their commitment to community (among many things a collaboration with StuBrew, U.K.'s only student-run brewery.) They also seem committed to experimentation (putting stuff into beer that I would not have thought of.) So if they are indeed pioneers in Northumberland craft brewing, power to them.
