1.5 liter bottle from Old Vilnius Cafe. Kvass #27
This is a Lithianian Kvass brewed with mineral water, barley extract, and "aroma substances". BBD: 13.03.14
Russet amber brown color, sharp clarity, rapidly dissipating bubbles on the surface. Tiny bubbles cling to the glass, but overall carbonation is pretty poor, and ebbs away after the first couple sips.
Aroma of raisin bread toast and carob. Slightly papery note of oxidation.
Taste was pretty similar, mainly sweet candy, carob and raisins.
Flat after the first sips, ultimately pretty bland and sweet. Not very unique in the scheme of commercial kvass.
