Pale and aromatic, with a soft minerality, Witchfinder is a refreshing young saison, brewed with pilsner malt and wheat, and fermented with a mixed culture of saison strains. Hopped with Saaz and Amarillo, this farmhouse style beer is full of floral and citrus hop notes, and juicy fruit esters.

Lovely golden body with a lively effervescence. Aromas are typical brett-forward saison, with notes of hay, dried lemon peel, herbal hop, and a light funk. Flavors lean a bit crushed-aspirin, but are saved by the champagne-like mouthfeel, which pairs very well with food. Overall a decent middle-of-the-pack saison

Murky yellow-orange body; bodacious foam production (needed two glasses and the sink to decant the beer); huge white head, frothy and sticky; creamy fingers of webbing cling to the glass. Very nice peach / apricot nose with a slight brett funk; light citrus; lemon and orange. Fantastic malt base for a saison; doughy and oat-like flavor; mild phenolic bitterness; earthy fruitiness, mainly yellow-pitted fruits with a touch of citrus and tropical fruits. Heavy body; lush and velvety; dry sweetness.
This is one of the most rich and complex saison's I remember trying. The mouthfeel, especially, seems more like a New England India pale ale with its texture and feel. The taste is well-rounded and wonderfully complex. Just a fantastic beer!

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow color ale with a large foamy head. Aroma of rustic malt notes with some light funky notes as well as herbal notes. Taste is also a mix of herbal notes with some rustic malt and some light funky notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable season but was expecting a bit more complexity.

750ml bottle from last night’s share. Body is cloudy orangish-pink color capped with a soft white head. Nose is starts off with typical saison characters, some Brett and some savory spice. taste again leans hard on the saison and yeast, wh ile the spiciness plays in the background.
