An oatmeal stout brewed with a combination of American and British malts and a large portion of flaked oats, with milk sugar added into the kettle. Post fermentation, Shadowlifter is infused with a special blend of coffee from Elm Roasters in Pioneer Square. This batch was also treated with a house made vanilla extract.

Like a highly dilated brown eye, this is a black orb edged by mahogany, with a creamy tan collar.

Mounds of coffee envelope the nose, while the vanilla comes in as though it's swirled throughout a chocolate covered strawberry, concluding with cinnamon dusted dark toast.

Taste isn't incredibly complex, bringing roasty coffee and toasty, brown-sugared bread.

Creamy and semi-round but with a crunchy(?) froth, yet soft with a semi-dry finish. Definitely one of the more unique mouthfeels in a beer I've experienced.
