Green gold color, light head. Wonderful smell of pineapple and guava. I wish there was a room scent like this... Pretty tasty, with some notes of fruited sour combined with saison yeast and some subtle hop bitterness. Cider-like feel.

From an undated 16 oz can. This year's batch is 4.9 ABV. Harmony of the Sun is a slightly unusual saison, in my experience. The smell and the taste are grassy, not really fruity, and not tart either. It's not yeasty like a Belgian saison. It's not at all sweet. It's just grassy. I give it points for being off the beaten track. But I'm not sure I would buy it again.

16oz can
Pours over a finger of dense, creamy white head into my Willi glass. Retention is average and the majority of the head fades within a minute or two. Initial lacing looks lovely. Body is straw yellow, high clarity, with a small amount of bubbles coming up. So far it looks pretty good, despite the retention.
Nose is lovely; big esters, huge clove, spicy, very bright, floral, some sweetness, faint orange. Extremely well balanced, and very aromatic; wonderful.
On the flavor the clove still takes center stage, but it’s not as prominent as on the nose, faint lemon as well. Some light malty sweetness comes in towards the finish. Not quite as full or complex as the nose, but it’s clean and tasty.
Carbonation is extremely high. Body seems on the lighter side. Noticeably drier than the nose, not unusual, but the difference is notable. Bitterness is elevated for a Saison. The straight forward flavor isn’t as much of an issue as this mouthfeel, which comes across a little abrasive at times. It’s a little bitter considering the lack of sugar to balance; the light body and high carbonation seem to accentuate that even more. Could be better.
All things considered, the drinkability is not an issue.
Appearance turned out pretty decent. The head was lovely, albeit short-lived. The lacing was patchy, but not too bad.
Overall a very solid Saison. Could have a little bit better balance between sweet and dry/bitter, but other than that it’s a fine brew.
