awesome name for a beer of blended long aged wild beers, and the result is wonderful, cool to be able to drink this from the tap. to me its more sour than a lot of their stuff, perhaps more of the bacterial elements taking over after all this time, but its still brett forward and funky, just finishes with a little more pucker than their beer often delivers. short white head on frosted looking straw colored beer, alive enough but not gushing or anything. the nose is lemon pucker, a light yogurt sort of thing to it, some clean citrus, funky brett, musty basement, wet oak, and stale bread, i dont recognize anything specific in this blend in terms of other beers, suggesting high integration and maturity. the flavors are great, light oxidation really works, a ton of oak that brings a white wine vibe to the whole thing, simple grain elements remain, wheaty and a little raw maybe, softly nutty, but nothing more than that. minerals and dried grass, red and green apple notes too curiously, and peppy late onset acidity. perhaps lacking a ton of complexity for what all is in the blend, but it drinks flavorful, fermentation forward, and professionally brewed, aged, refined, and blended. i guess there is some brett lager in the blend, which i cant quite pick out, but i like whats happening overall here. holy mountain always hits, and it was a treat to get to drink a number of their beers on tap this past weekend!

Had on tap. Murky orangey yellow pour with a white collar with solid lacing. Wonderful funk, brett and oak driving the nose of this one, notes of lemon, wild yeast, flowers, yuzu, grapefruit zest, hay, and swirling white grape accent. Taste is much the same, but how it interacts is so fun, swirling and interacting, each sip lifting up something new as the star, impressive. Feel is wild and oaky, with bretty and barrel funk interceding, but very delicate yet wetter than expected but has graininess to carry through. Wonderful blended saison
