Iridescent Shrine was brewed with a combination of Pilsner malt, rye, and spelt malt. It was hopped with Saaz, Citra, and Loral and fermented in oak puncheons with a blended house mixed culture where it continued to age for 18 months. Refermented in the bottle with Brettanomyces.

750mL into a tulip. Pours a pale golden/straw color with a nice fluffy white head.
Aroma is sharply tart and wonderfully funky. Clean and bright with those notes of green apple, pear, and sour/sweet cherries layered over neutral pale malt we all love.
Taste is crisp and tart as well. Light bready malt with a slightly grainy, crushed-aspirin quality, wild Brett yeast, dry clean oak.
Mouthfeel is perfectly balanced, drinkable and refreshing with a clean finish.
Overall, not surprisingly, another hit from HM.

Served in 12oz tulip. Poured a clean, clear, honey-gold color with 3/4 inch of white head that very good retention and very light lacing.
The aroma was dominated by the funk, as a good Brett beer should. Solid grains and oak also made their presences solidly known. A solid tartness was consistent throughout.
Nearly identical on the tongue, with the tartness being stronger, and lingering on the tongue.
The body was on the light side of medium, well carbonated, had a certain coarseness on the palate, and a pleasingly dry finish.
Drinkability was very good. Although not a quaffer, I could drink these repeatedly. and often.
Overall, a very good beer. Worth going out of your way for. A must-try.
