blended barrel aged saison, dry hopped with cryo mosaic, cool idea, neat blend, pretty heavy for being pure golden in color, neat to score this on tap, tastes maybe not all that fresh on the hops anymore, a little tired, but still delicious, although it takes some time to warm up and be fully open i think. good clarity for the style, puffy almost inch of white head, plenty of carbonation, nice and lively. aroma is lightly spicy, i get some pineapple candy from the mosaic, faint oxidation and a little greenness, a hint of peach, white wine, and a little more bacterial twang than mature brett, although there is some of both in here giving it good complexity, seems still slightly sweet, very organic and agricultural as well, and with enough wood to seem substantial. the flavor hits on dried apricot, golden raisin, sauternes, and cooked pear, surprisingly fruity, but with some dry earthy rye spice behind it and the softening oak. definite white wine here too, tangy lemon with the bacterial part, and then some wet animal funk late, off dry, lemon lime soda, hay and straw, a bit of a dank thing from the mosaic, weedy, slick feeling but effervescent too, and with more body than it looks like it will have. neat brew, id love to taste the threads of the blend on their own, but they come together really well here. not among the elite holy mountain saisons, but this is the kind of thing i think they do best, and it was rad to drink on this. definitely a little different on the ferment than some of their others, fun blend.
