an easygoing but tidy and well made lighter lager here done with lemon and lime, simple for holy mountain, great quality though, not overdone on the fruit, and real drinkable for summer, a neat one for warm weather, surely crushable, grown up to me. its crazy pale blonde, immaculately clear, and presents with over an inch of frothed up and lasting white foam, looks great in the glass, delicate and active and pristine. i smell and taste a dry and simple pils type malt nice and fresh up front with a real compatible and professionally deployed lager yeast strain, truly minimal at the core of this but with great water chemistry and other attention to detail, they could have stopped there and this would already be a leader in this space i reckon, light on the hops but subtle citrusy character that introduces the added lemon and lime rather well, almost no bitterness in this at all. a cool almost slate-like minerality before just a little tang from equal parts lemon and lime on the finish, zesty and quick, not dosed enough to lose the base lager, which i like, and its so clean it really maxes out on the refreshment side of things, so effortless and quenching. the level of refinement here is off the charts, the beer is festive, unforced, and dialed in. beautiful carbonation too, could easily make a day of this, do they package it? pint cans on the river would be glorious!

edit: found it in a pint can! liked it less though. lime way in front of lemon, if any lemon at all, some floral character too, seems more flavored to me in this format, less from the grain and the yeast, although the beer overall is still really minimalist and clean, its not quite as brisk and easy to me now as it was on draft, but still really polished and good. cool art, pleasant drinker, summery but id have this in any season...
