German Munich and Vienna malts give an almost sweet, malty flavor while a pinch of mesquite-smoked malt brings a subtle, smoky note to this "Fall Pants Party Beer".

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, light golden color with a strong white head. SRM of 8. (4.00)

Aroma: Strong aromas of bread, caramel malt, some toast and lightly sweet/smokey notes. (4.00)

Flavor: Strong flavors of rich bread, toast, lightly earthy and smokey notes. Toasted, brown sugar, grainy, yet a dry, earthy, and clean finish. (4.00)

Feel: Medium to lighter bodied, strong carbonation. Finishes clean and dry. (4.25)

Compared to Arbeiter Oktoberfest 10/24: Pours lighter, similar aromas. More honey. Less caramel, toast and floral hoppiness. Winner: Arbeier

Compared to Steel Toe Marzen 11/24: Pours lighter, milder aromas. More smooth bread. Less toasted caramel.

Overall: A new Oktoberfest Marzen from Drekker. The first year they've brewed this one. Nice bready and caramel malts. Toasty, with some brown sugar and smokey notes. Yet, and clean and dry finish. Excellent flavors without getting too sweet. (Rating: 4.08)

Poured from 16oz can into glass.
Slightly cloudy, deep gold colored body. One finger white head, settles back to skiff and ring. Leaves behind some spots of lacing.
Bready malt aroma, with a little smoke from the mesquite. Some brighter spicy hops.
Taste follows aroma, with solid bready malt, influenced by the smoke. Not so much presence of the hops.
Medium mouth feel. More smooth than crisp.
Interesting take on a fest beer. Would be a great choice for celebrating by a bonfire. Needs more hop flavor to be better balanced.

L-Hazy tint to a deep oak color..flat looking in the glass.

S-Toasted malts...a bit of caramel sweetness.

T-Toasted malt and some caramel candy like sweetness.

F-Short of what I'd call crisp and clean..but along those lines...

O-Not a bad fest beer. I'd put it middle of the road for the ofests I've enjoyed this year.
