Poured from a 16 oz. can into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a deep amber red. Moderate amount of bubbles and a solid finger of off white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A roasty and toasty malt driven aroma with a scent of coffee, caramel, and biscuit. Upfront scent of coffee beans. Malt scent of caramel, biscuit, toast, and grains with yeast. Light hints of earthy hops. A really nice aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a roasty and toasty malt driven taste with notes of coffee, caramel, and biscuit. Upfront taste of coffee beans. Malt notes of caramel, biscuit, toast, and grains along with some yeast. Moderate earthy hop bitterness. A very good roasty taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Drying and smooth.

Overall: A very good coffee infused Red Ale. Nice bean flavor with the toasted malt.

This beer pours a bright red with an average head. The aroma has a strong coffee presence - but it is a rather light roast, it smells strongly of week coffee. There is also a dusty aroma, and a smell of sweet red malts. The flavor starts soft, with milk chocolte and red malts, then a very light roast coffee, butterscotch, dry oats, and a hint of cinnamon. The mouthfeel is quite light, with mild fizzy carbonation. Overall this is a pretty nice beer - the coffee is lighter to match the malt presene, and everything comes together quite well - maybe a touch more body would help.
