Poured from 16oz can into glass. No canning date information found.
Cloudy, guava colored body. Slight pinkish head settles to scattered islands, and rising bubble fed ring. No lacing.
Aroma is heavy with guava and vanilla, along with fruity and earthy hops. Overripe smell is there too.
Very strong guava flavor, and the earthy, fruity hops. Vanilla is there too. The sour aspect is from the yeast entwining with the tangy fruit. The sour is mild and almost of a funk nature.
Medium mouth feel. Lots of carbonation sting on the tongue, from beginning to end of the taste profile. Like a tangy guava intensified.
A different take on a sour IPA, but quite well balanced. Tightly packed taste profile, concentrated. The tongue sting is unexpected.
