The first member of our Sour à la Mode series, this one was brewed with an utterly ridiculous amount of blueberry, black currant, blackberry, graham cracker, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lactose sugar and vanilla beans.

Drekker Bumbleberry Pie Slang Du Jour Sour à la Mode, 5% ABV. Pours purple and thick, with no head, left puree residue. Nose is sweet berry, with a hint of brown sugar. Taste follows plus lactose, cinnamon and nutmeg, slightly sweet, slightly tart. Excellent mouthfeel, overall world class.

Excellent. Berry fruit sweetness, mildly dry, complemented by christmas-y spices, vanilla and lactose sweetness, pulpy and thick but without being too syrupy. Full bodied, lower carbonation, bits of nutmeg and lots of berry dancing on the backend.

Pours a juicy plum color with a fat finger of purple-tinted head.

Huge berry aroma with blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, cream, vanilla and a little sour twang.

The taste is very similar. There’s no pie crust, but otherwise bumbleberry pie is an apt description. Sweet berry medley, cream, a little sourness. It almost has a yogurt-like quality. The tart, very lightly toasty finish is somewhat drying.

Relatively light bodied, very lightly creamy, with strong carbonation.

A lot of fresh, real berry flavors in this with a nice yogurty note. The feel seems a little thin against such big flavors.
