Orange You Glad I Didn't Say PRRRT is what we're calling a Mall-Style Milkshake Double IPA. It was brewed with Orange, Banana, Lactose, Vanilla Beans, memories of the good old days hanging in the mall sipping on an Orange JuliusĀ®, and dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe.

Thanks Nick for the share! It looks like orange juice. It smells like orange juice with sugary vanilla, banana, a little touch of tropical fruit, and tender hops on the finish. Tastes as it smells, hop presence enhanced, and really get all three with citra up front, mosaic in the middle, and then galaxy joins them in the finish. A touch of grapefruit and tropical mixed in, but really this is an orange and vanilla bomb. Feel is bright, sugary, smooth, and juicy, could be a little more creamy

16 oz can, given to me in lieu of a tip (pizza delivery). I can't complain.
First Drekker beer, she raved on and on about how good they were. Let's see if she's right.
Deep hazy milky yellow, looking good so far, with a loosely knit bubbly frothy white head of 2 fingers receding to a thin ring. Kinda wish the head would stay creamy longer.
Aroma brings some fresh grapefruit, starfruit, and passion fruit. There's also this orange toothpaste note and a note that resembles a kettle sour.
Flavor is slightly dank but not pleasant, some rosemary, grapefruit, orange fro-yo, lemon tea, mint toothpaste and basil. The herbs really come out swinging in this one. Again, a bit like toothpaste orange frozen yogurt. Messy execution.
Feel is juicy and acidic but not what I would consider creamy.
Overall, a "mall milkshake" is not at all how I'd describe this. Too basil and tea-forward. It was not for me. Not sure what type of orange julius they were going for but this was nowhere close and was very disconnected. Bottom line it wasn't very enjoyable. I will keep an eye on Drekker because maybe this time next year they could be cleaning up their recipes and learning to brew a good NE IPA. As of now they're still way off-point. I was not impressed with my first Drekker beer.
Edit : in stores I am seeing that this is $6 a can. Is this right? Or is my store massively up-charging an $11 4 pack? If this is really the price, get real. Nothing this mediocre should be priced so high.

Poured from a can. Very cloudy, suspended pale yellow colour. Smells like a breakfast smoothie; pineapple, orange, banana, mineral notes, and an overall sweet, juicy, lactose aroma. Tastes full-bodied and creamy with a decent low key carbonation level. Orange-vanilla upfront, banana, pineapple and guava notes, with a full, but not predominant, citrusy hop finish. Breakfast beer!

There does not seem to be a date on the can or the label.
Appearance: It has a light straw-colored body with a sudsy soap-like head that starts out large and pops its way to a short cap and eventually just a bubbly ring.
Aroma: It has a strong enough aroma that I could pick up lemons before approaching the glass. Upon closer inspection that lemon aroma is the strongest, followed by a hint of thyme and a bit of rosemary.
Taste: It has a very citrus-like and herbal flavor, consisting mostly of lemon peel flavor, thyme, and rosemary. It tastes a bit like lemon tea with cooking herbs added.
Mouthfeel: It is light bodied and easy to drink with a light bit of what feels like acidity. It is nicely balanced for the beer.
Overall: The can states "GIMMICKS: ORANGE, BANANA, LACTOSE SUGAR, VANILLA BEANS." None of these ingredients show up in the flavor or aroma department, which begs the question as to why they were mentioned at all. As a whole be beer was good enough that I could drink it again, but it doesn't conjure feelings of the Orange Julius that this is likely trying to attempt. I enjoyed the herbal flavors but it's clearly not the direction the brewer was going with this beer. It is recommendable but don't be lured by the flavors listed on the can that are absent.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had a dull, dirty orange color and an extremely cloudy consistency. Looks like orange juice. There was a quarter inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Not much lacing to speak of.
S: A sweet and enticing aroma of citrus fruit, hops, vanilla, banana, malt, and tropical fruit.
T: Tasted of a hint of vanilla (kind of lingers around), lots of citrus fruit (orange, of course), a little tropical fruit (mango, it would seem), some lactose, a moderate amount of hops (just enough to make things interesting), and light banana notes. A sweet and fruity flavor. Quite tasty and definitely zesty.
F: A below average amount of carbonation with a smooth and creamy finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is a very much enjoyable, easy to drink DIPA. Drinkable.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on September 7, 2019. Brewed with orange, banana, lactose and vanilla beans. Dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe. This is super juicy.
