Drekker makes the best smoothie sours. This one was the best in this style I have had. Proper thick creamy body. Great fruit combo.

Review # 1396
This is my first Drekker Beer that I will try, and my second or third from North Dakota. Smoothie sours is not really my thing, it is like Malted beverage but better. The beer is 44 degrees and served in a pint glass. The pour of the beer produced a foamy one-fingered head with poor retention. The head came and went leaving no trace of its existence. The color of the beer is like an orange mango smoothie. The beer does not look like one. There is not much to continue about the appearance. The appearance is basic and nothing stands out.
The initial aromas in the beer are oranges, mangos, pineapples, and sour lemons. Next, I smell hay, grass, bread, crackers, fruity sweetness, vanilla, a touch of barnyard funk ripe orange peel, and a mellow earthiness.
The flavors in the beer are mangos, oranges, lemons, pineapples, hint of floral, orange peel, bread, crackers, fruity sweetness, vanilla, a hint of barnyard light toasted malts, a touch of bay leaves, and tart apples.
The mouthfeel is acidic, smooth, and tart.
The body of the beer is light, medium-plus carbonation, a medium finish.
This beer blurred the lines for beer. I get a hint of barnyard, but the beer has a huge fruit flavors. The beer mingles well with its friends, making the beer pleasing on the palate. For me, I would have like to tasted more sour, and a touch more funk. Tasty beer nonetheless.
