Slang du Jour: Raspberry Cobbler is what happens when someone lets MeeMaw spike the dessert: jammy raspberry and plum baked into pie crust vibes with brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and lactose. It’s a cozy, crazy cobbler that’ll warm your heart like a hand-knit sweater.

Very nice lactose infused wild ale. Pours a thick creamy dark pink color with some foaming head and small rings of lingering lacing. Smells of bright tart raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, a little faint wheat and vanilla. Tastes similarly, great balance between tartness and sweetness. Smooth, creamy luscious mouthfeel, sticky, coats the palate, good carbonation retention. Very nicely done.

Damnit. I know it’s not beer but the spices are great. Has this granola/graham cracker sweetness going on, cinnamon and vanilla, and a nice dose of seedy raspberry. It looks like fruit purée of course. Very tasty.

Drekker Raspberry Cobbler Slang Du Jour Sour á la Mode, 4.6% ABV. Pours a thick and murky red puree, with a two-finger light red head that left foam and fruit bits "lacing". Nose is raspberry, taste is sweet and moderately tart raspberry. Mouthfeel is thick, overall outstanding. A sour purist may argue that this is a toe over the line of a sour beer, but I like it. Pastry sour anyone?
