Underwater Ally is a monstrously tasty double IPA brewed with a bunch of oats & spelt, then hopped with Mosaic, Citra, and Ella for a super tropical, citrus, and grapefruity flavor & aroma.

Pours an opaque pale orange with three fingers of white foam. Aroma is papaya, grapefruit, red berries, fruity yeast, and doughy malts. Flavor profile is grapefruit, papaya, orange zest, and biscuity, doughy malts. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a velvety, creamy texture. Overall, not quite potent in flavor despite the higher ABV, but still fun.

Canned 5/6/24 (12 days ago)
Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (5% clarity) medium to pale yellow/orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 6. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of tropical, orange, melon, berries. Some sweet grape underneath. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of orange, cantaloupe, tropical, pineapple, berries, sweet grape. (4.00)
Feel: Medium to heavier bodied, average carbonation. Finishes thick, moderately sweet. But clean (4.00)
Compared to Drekker Evil Natured Robots 5/2024: Pours slightly darker, similar head. Milder aromas. More tropical orange, pineapple, melon, berries, grape. Less citrus zest, lime, guava, green grape and melon.
6/2024: Pours similar, more tropical orange, pineapple, papaya. Less tropical melon, berries, grape.
Compared to Drekker Never Have I Ever 6/2024: Pours identical. Stronger aromas. Less orange and peach cream. More juicy citrus, pineapple, mango. Drier and cleaner. Winner: Underwater Ally
Overall: Mosaic, Citra, Ella. I'm less familiar with the Ella hop. Apparently some grapefruit flaovrs. I get a lot of tropical and dank mosaic flavors here. All the tropical pineapple, berries, papaya, and grape. A bit thick and sweet on the grape/grapefruit notes. Pretty good stuff. (4.10)
