Drekker Peach & Black Currant Braaaaaaaains Double Fruit Smoothie Sour, 7.3% ABV. Pours thick and pale murky red with a one-finger off-white head. No lacing, but plenty of puree residue. Nose is peach and black current, taste follows, slightly sweet and moderately tart. Excellent thick mouthfeel, if a bit under-carbonated. Overall excellent. I've had a number of variants of this, but this one wasn't my favorite, though still excellent.

I love this stuff. It is a beer or not? Anyways this version is peach and black currant. The beer is 38 degrees and served in a pint glass. The pour of the beer created a two-fingered head with excellent retention. The head frothy and airy and is a light raspberry color. The head slowly dissipated and left a monster lacing on the glass. The pour of the beer was thick and smoothie-like. The color of the beer is akin to a raspberry smoothie. Overall, this beer looks fantastic.

Initial aromas in the beer are peaches, raspberries, gooseberries, lightly toasted malts, fruity sweetness, vanilla, cream, and floral esters.

The flavors in the beer are loads of peaches, vanilla, gooseberries, raspberries, fruity sweetness, toasted malts, floral, a touch of herbal, salt, a hint of tropical, and earthiness.

The mouthfeel of the beer is thick, coating, and tart.

The body of the beer is full, low carbonation, and a full finish.

The vanilla comes through as a hint on the back end. The tartness in the beer is barely noticeable. As this beer is sour, I would have expected more sourness in the beer. I love the peaches in they are dominant with the black currants as a friend. Awesome beer, I enjoyed it.

L: A radiant medium to dark, garnet and tomato juice red. A syrupy pour. A thin cap with low retention and no lacing.

S: Tart and subtly earthy black currants and an undercurrent of canned peaches.

Heavily currants. Very tart and drying. Coupled with some bittering hops, it has a rough elixir quality.

F: Mega-syrupy. Fine carbonation, and a dry spirit like Gin.

O: Similar elements to other Braaaaaaaans, or Chonks, but this one didn’t meld for me. Least liked of these two Drekker series.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy reddish purple in color. It poured with a short off white head that left a narrow collar around the edge and some lacing on the surface and the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of black currants are present in the nose along with strong notes of vanilla and hints of peaches.
T: The taste has lots of flavors of peach along with notes of vanilla and berries. The lactose contributes a slight bit of sweetness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and rather smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer definitely tastes like a fruit smoothie and makes for a nice dessert beer. It's hardly sour at all.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had a dark reddish color and an extremely thick and viscous consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, off white head that quickly dissipated. Very good lacing.

S: A very nice aroma of peaches, sea salt, vanilla, black currant, and lactose.

T: Tasted of a good amount of black currant (a surprisingly subtle presence), a tinge of lactose (not a particularly big factor), a good shot of peaches (present, but not cloyingly so), a bit of sea salt, and some vanilla (kind of fleeting). This is an incredibly fruity, well-formed flavor. Exceptionally tasty.

F: A fair amount of carbonation with a super smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: A well-made, very likable sour. Drinkable.

Can. Smooth style thickness. Ruby magenta color. The black currants show more than the peaches. Tastes like a Jamba Juice smoothie. Lightly tart. Lactose creaminess.

Pretty solid variant in the series.
