Season of the Witch is a beer we schemed up with the amazing people at Witch Hunt Fargo-Moorhead to celebrate the opening of their new Fargo Moorhead chapter. Inspired by the refreshing drink and fruit cups, popular in Latin American communities, we brewed up a sour with mango, lime chili peppers and salt. What came to life is a sensory adventure of sweet tropical fruits, bright lime acidity, just a hint of warm chili peppers and rounded out with a savory and salty finish.⠀

And yes you read those ingredients correctly. No lactose in this beer. Consider this our Halloween treat for our lactose-abstaining friends.

Pours a hazy golden color, smal white cap head. Smell is lime and citrus, Taste has lime and salt with some sour tartness. Reminds me of a gose, or a sour daiquiri or a Margarita. Definitely a different sour from Drekker with lime and salt the dominant flavors ,did like the tartness and slight pepper notes very little mango. As the can is decanted and warms more peppers and fruity and less lime / salt shine thru, actually really tastes better.

On tap.

Mango orange color. Not a Chonk, but cloudy. No head.

Lots of mango and lime flavors. A bit tart and citrusy. The peppers don’t show a lot but if you look for them they are there.

Very easy drinking sour. Solid.
