This new Slang Du Jour Sour à la Mode is stuffed with as much cherry & raspberry as we could, plus granola, cinnamon, brown sugar, lactose, and vanilla beans for a whole lotta that jammy, cobbler-y, fresh out of the oven flavor we all love so much.

Drekker Cherry Cobbler Slang Du Jour Sour à la Mode, 6.4% ABV. Pours thick and opaque maroon with a one-finger pink head that left puree residue. Aroma is cherry, vanilla, cinnamon, and granola. Taste follows, with actual non-medicinal cherry, quite sweet, slightly tart. Decent thick and creamy mouthfeel, overall outstanding.

Pulpy reddish body, slushy with a nice tart cherry skin, mostly raspberry tartness, a touch seedy, medium acetic acidity and a nice touch of cinnamon and lactose/vanilla sweetness on the backend, nothing crazy. Crazy fruit, medium bodied, lower carb.

Thus far Drekker beer has been stellar. I love the Brain series (not going to add all the extra letters to that), those beers are wonderful. I have not tried this series of Slang Du Jour. It sounds like a fancy French name for food. The beer is fresh out of the fridge and 42 degrees. The pour of the beer created a monster two-fingered head with excellent retention. The light pinkish head left lacing on the glass as it slowly dissipated The color of the beer is similar to a summer raspberry smoothie. Zero clarity exists within the beer. Overall, this beer looks like something I would order at a smoothie shack.
Initial aromas in the beer are ripe raspberries, cherries, lightly toasted malts, that crust that is on top of the cobbler, a touch of floral similar to rose water, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, graham crackers, and a hint of lemon.
The flavors in the beer are cherries, ripe raspberries, lemons, graham crackers, that crust on top of cobblers (flour, butter, and sugar), brown sugar, vanilla, that odd rosewater flavor, lemon, toasted bread, and rich fruity sweetness.
The mouthfeel of the beer is tart and dry (despite the sweet fruit flavors).
The body of the beer is medium, low carbonation, and a full finish.
This beer is singing with vibrant fruit flavors and just the right amount of tartness. I could drink several of these before I knew the deception of the higher alcohol content. Dangerously tasty beer. I enjoyed every drop, wish I had more.

Opaque slushy raspberry pinkish red body, pinkish head, thinner edging. Smells great: sweet cherry, tart raspberry, graham cracker, vanilla, cinnamon, and brown sugar, with the fruit being the clear stars. Tastes even better: same ingredients but now the tart and sweet fruit is met beautifully with the graham cracker, dough, vanilla and the best part a cutting brown sugar and cinnamon combo that just sings on the palate. It really does taste like cobbler, my only qualm is it is shorter lived on the palate. Feel is cool slushy body with sugary and tart accents, with a gentle spiced emphasis in the finish.

L: A deep pink to purple hue. Loads of tiny rising bubbles can be discerned only at the fringes where the light can pass. A half finger bright pink head fades to a haze of a cap and a smattering of lace and fruit solid specs on the glass.
S: Rich and perfect. Cooked cherries abound. This smells just like the cobbler, crust and all. Impressive.
T: Follows the nose right in, but for a touch more tartness and some hops on the finish to bring you back to beer.
F: A coating mouthfeel with good carbonation. Rich but thinner to keep it palatable.
O: I thought this hit the nail on the head for theme. The overall taste was not tops for the Drekker brand, but it was cherry cobbler so that is a subjective statement, bringing in my personal preference only.
