Time to draw a line in the sand. We need to put this out there and we hope this doesn’t mean we can’t be friends anymore, but it needs to be known. We only like creamy peanut butter. We think the only peanut butter on the planet should be creamy and that crunchy peanut butter is an abomination before the gods that should be stricken from the earth. There, we said it. We feel better, how about you?⠀
So to declare this love for the creamy overlord of peanuts in butter form we’re dropping a brand new Peanut Butter Milk Stout called Smooth Or Die. It’s packed with chocolatey, peanut buttery flavor and aroma and it’s rich and unapologetically smooth, so smooth, like the Gods intended.

This brewer is well known to me for their outstanding over the top fruity conconctions. This isn't one of those. It is an exceptional milk stout instead.
It poured with a great pancake head. The aroma is peanut buttery as is the taste, with those cocoa nibs just poking through a bit and you can tell they balanced the sweetness to get the namesake smoothness. It is nice and smooth.
Recommended. This is a really nice stout, but there are lots of nice stouts out there. Drekker is amazing when they boldly go where hardly anyone ever does but that is not this style.

Fills a Pretentious Glass Company Imperial Snifter with a black presence. One half inch of dark walnut head forms a fine foam that leaves a spattering of lace.
The aroma opens strong with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. The peanut butter emphasizes the roasted nuts more than the chocolate. The chocolate is darker and there is no apparent malt.
As expected, peanut butter and chocolate are obvious, however, they are far less so than the aroma had presented. The finish is long and mild, continuing the theme. Dark roasted malt eventually shows up with significant warmth. All this said, it is not bitter, nor is it very sweet.
It has a polished metal texture that emphasizes the light body. Carbonation is lively. Alcohol is as expected.
While this is tasty with a ton of flavor, it lacks the beery components of a sweet milk stout. I enjoyed it on a cold and snowy afternoon.

12/30/2023. Enjoying at home from a can purchased at Vintage Estate Wine and Beer store in Boardman, OH.
Beautiful and completely black out, poured with a thick dark tan head that quickly dissipated to a fine ring around the edges.
Aromas of cocoa nibs, vanilla, butter cookie and toasted coconut and marshmallow.
Surprisingly bright and smooth in the mouth with fine carbonation. Flavor really hits once it's in the mouth several seconds, and wow, flavor impacts! Very milk chocolate and slight coffee flavors asking with coconut. Not overly or sticky sweet, just a nice balance of sweetness and flavor.
Well above average, but not world class.

Pitch black with a foamy brown head. Pretty good retention for a peanut butter stout. A ring remains. Some lacing, too.
Peanut butter, peanut flour, and some chocolate on the nose.
Nice rich milk chocolate and peanut butter flavor. Peanut butter powder and Hershey's milk chocolate. Hints of biscuit and vanilla.
Rich smooth silky feel. Slick yet surprisingly crisp.
Very good peanut butter milk stout. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely better than average.

16oz can. Bottom of can is stamped 'CANNED ON 01/17/23'. Purchased as a single at Casanova Liquor in Hudson WI.
Cola brown colored body, with thin mahogany colored back lit edge. Brief lasting and bubbly tan head. No lacing.
Aroma is big with the peanuts, also expresses dark chocolate.
Taste is sweet, with dark chocolate, coffee, and peanuts. Cola berry. At the end there is some coffee grounds bitterness.
Medium mouth feel. Has some cola prickliness. Alcohol is well hidden. Okay carbonation.
Sweet stout that delivers on the peanut flavor.

A Tavour Treat. Aroma of black coffee and roasted malts. Taste is tangy black coffee and sweet vanilla and caramel. Finishes slightly bitter but overall, a very enjoyable stout.
