This special version of What Lies Beneath has an addition of Maple Syrup that was aged in a Knob Creek barrel for 9 months, plus we hit it with more vanilla!
The base What Lies Beneath is a big and bold imperial stout that sat in a mix of Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill barrels for a year. Then we conditioned it on cacao nibs, coffee beans that Thunder Coffee roasted specially for this beer, and a stupid amount of Indonesian vanilla beans.
