We took a select barrel of The Nightman Cometh and conditioned it on hand toasted Macadamia Nuts, fresh roasted Cacao Nibs, and some of that Thunder Coffee goodness to bring forth Champion of the Sun.

Pitch black body; no head or presence of foam upon the initial pour, but a bit of time reveals a thin, khaki ring with small flecks of foam temporarily speckling the glass interior after each sip. Rich aroma full of chocolate and fudge; charred grains; dark pitted dried fruit, plum and figs. Outstanding taste following along the lines of the aroma; rich chocolate chip cookies; amburana; cinnamon and ginger; mild alcohol note; coffee-like bitterness. Heavy body; dense and sludgy; mild stickiness on the palate; light boozy warmth.
Everything about this version of the beer is just plain fantastic. The taste exudes richness and complexity. Quite the barrel-aged Russian imperial stout experience!

Very dark brown and opaque body; thin, wispy and patchy head. Excellent dark roasted malt grain scent; mild coffee note; cocoa nibs. Excellent taste; milk chocolate and dark roast coffee; moderate bitterness; moderate malt sweetness; vanilla. Heavy body; dry, roasted grain feel; a fair bit of residual sugar presence.
This is a very fine, tasty and luxurious imperial stout. The coffee is subdued and nicely complements the inherent sweetness of the base beer.
Served at 55° F

Oily black pour with a short lived brown head. Aromas of whiskey soaked raisin and fig, big fudgy coffee with hug vanilla cream melding in. Starts actually pretty bright with the macadamia nut, oak, and vanilla, chocolate bridges to the darkening coffee, raisin, big fig, and whiskey. Thick viscous body, almost sludgy, with bright and dark contrasting textures, barrel is a base with the nuts without being very warm. Share this to have friendship for everyone
